Grosvenor delivers procurement training and education for NZ’s Ministry of Economic Development
New Zealand’s Ministry of Economic Development (MED) has identified the need for qualified procurement professionals. Improvements to non-assessed training and better access to professional qualifications aims to strengthen the procurement profession in New Zealand.
Through the NZ’s Government’s recently launched Procurement Academy, Grosvenor delivered two courses as part of the initial education programme in May 2010. After receiving high demand and excellent participant feedback, MED re-ran these courses in July 2010. See the events page for details of these courses.

Minister Tanner announces outcomes of whole-of-government coordinated procurement of travel services supported by Grosvenor and TMS.
The Finance Minister, Hon Lindsay Tanner, recently announced the outcomes of the whole of Australian Government coordinated procurement of domestic and international air, and travel management services. The Australian Government spends more than $500million p.a. on travel, and the new contracts have delivered $160 million in direct savings back to the budget over the next four years. Further savings are likely and will be retained by the agencies.
Grosvenor, in combination with its contracted partner TMS Travel Management Solutions, was the specialist adviser to the project, playing a significant role in scoping out the approach, developing the key procurement documents and providing ongoing industry based advice to the Department of Finance and Deregulation’s Taskforce.
Minister Tanner commended the Taskforce team and Grosvenor "for the way in which the tender process has been conducted and the excellent outcome it has delivered to taxpayers".
